The innovative student team :Team Crack Platoon' from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) has brought pride to Bangladesh by securing third place in the PR Awards at the prestigious Formula SAE Japan 2025 competition. On behalf of the RUET family, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S M Abdur Razzak extended his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all the team members for this remarkable achievement.
The competition was held from September 8 to 13 at Aichi Sky Expo, Japan, where 90 student teams from universities around the world participated. Representing South Asia as the only team from the region, RUET’s students competed this year with their latest project, the 'CP–Astrion.'
This innovative car has already been tested against international standards. It features advanced battery technology, a lightweight composite body, and aerodynamic wings. Notably, world-renowned company Tesla directly sponsored their battery technology.
Expressing his delight, RUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S. M. Abdur Razzak said in a statement:
'RUET has always encouraged innovation and research. In continuation of this, our students are leaving their mark of excellence not only in Bangladesh but also in the global arena. ‘Team Crack Platoon’ has strengthened its position on the international stage, making the RUET family proud. Their creativity and innovations will contribute to the advancement of human civilization while brightening the name of RUET and Bangladesh.'
It is worth mentioning that Team Crack Platoon has previously showcased its talent on various international platforms: Quad Bike Challenge (2016), Formula SAE Japan (2017 & 2019), Formula SAE Switzerland (2023), and Formula Bharat (2024), achieving notable success in each.
